DESIGN " BONES" TILTED TO ONE SIDE IN CANADIAN SMOCKING

Draw the grid on the reverse of the fabric and mark the slanting lines. Leave a border of 3cm all around.



Do the smocking using matching thread. The fabric takes the shape of rhombus after smocking.



Place a square cardboard of measurement 42 cm in the smocked fabric as shown. I have used quilting rulers.




Draw line all around Fix the position of the pleats using 3m tape.


 Cut the extra cloth.  We get a square piece. This is used to stitch cushion.
