Butterfly stitch instructions
This stitch is stitched using two colours.Straight lines are stitched using one colour and another colour thread is woven in to the straight stitch. When the design is finished design will be beautifully shaded. This stitch is suitable for flowers and leaves with smooth edges.
Draw design of your choice. Fill it with straight foundation stitch according to the design. ( Figure A-white thread) Weave these stitches with contrasting thread. (Figure B -Pink thread). For weaving tapestry needle is recommended. Take a small stitch in the fabric at the beginning of each row. This helps to keep the shape of the design.
